Starting as a model herself in 1974, Caldwell has gained knowledge of the entertainment industry firsthand. Caldwell has extensive industry experience as a model, actor, fashion show director, promotional manager, and worked as a regional makeup artist for Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden. Her accomplishments have appeared in publications including People, Teen People, and Harper’s Bazaar. Dea Caldwell worked at Elizabeth Arden cosmetics from 2004 to 2023 and was chosen one of only eight nationwide to be Beauty Expert in 2016.

Dea Caldwell has been a guest speaker at various corporate events worldwide.  Carrying on her knowledge to the pageant sector, Caldwell has judged local, state, and national pageants while also holding a pageant title herself. (Ms. Texas Outstanding Woman 2004-2005, Ms. Leadership America 2009)  judging background includes participation in pageants, such as Mrs.   Louisiana International, Mrs. Texas International, Sunburst Pageants, National American Miss, and approximately fifty additional pageants nationwide.

Dea has appeared in "Walker Texas Ranger," acted in regional commercials, and held roles in various films.   She recently accomplished certification in commercial “Voice-Over in 2019.

Dea Caldwell, a former commercial and film performer, now hosts model and actor events to inspire others and support the community.   Moda Belletto, owned by Dea, provides tailored training in acting, modeling, and confidence development for individuals seeking professional advancement.     Dea has served as Dallas Director for the Model and Talent Expo convention since 1992, and as Texas Director for the Mega Model and Talent Showcase since 2025. Both conventions draw agents from local, state, national, and international levels, creating opportunities for talent to gain visibility and participate in competitions and sign contracts.

In February 2020, Dea had a meeting with Giovanna Salas, the owner of "Heart of Hollywood Magazine," which led to the creation of a new position at the magazine.  Dea became at that time Director of Texas for Models for the magazine.

It is not just about thinking smart, it is trusting in your ability by working towards your goals and pushing forward. Keeping a cheerful outlook and having faith that you will have success. It may take what it seems like forever, trust in the process and you will find your niche.

Because I believed, in my journey in helping others I finally decided to share my story about my Dyslexia and authored my book called “The Shadow of Me” in 2019. In this book Ms. Caldwell discusses the challenges associated with dyslexia and the obstacles encountered throughout this experience.   My favorite quote is “We fall forward to success”!
